| and I spent about a half hour googling as well with the same results. You only need a driver if you are switching from High Impedance (usually 10-14ohm) to Low impedance (1-5 Ohm) injectors. Matt's kit ships with high impedance type injectors same as stock so it's not required. If you do try to use low impedance types (like hte BDE top-feed kit uses) without a driver you will fry your ECU. On this part my memory is somewhat foggy, but I remember for sure there was at least one pro to the low impedance types and I want to say it is that they can open and close faster and more precisely for better idle.
